【7/24】Bond University に見学に行きました！

 本日は午前中通常授業を受けた後、Bond University のキャンパスツアーに行き、近くのショッピングセンターで買い物とランチを楽しみました！

本日の通常授業は、AグループはJulie先生のEnglish Languageの授業、Bグループは現地生徒の授業参加(Classroom Integration)でした。

English Language の授業では、Hillcrest と広尾学園の違いや同じ点を探りながら、Hillcrestのキャンパスを歩き回りました。Hillcrestはバスケットボールが強いらしく、主にバスケットボールで使用する体育館がありました。いろいろな特徴を見つけながら'It's different!'・'It's same!'と声を合わせてアクティビティを楽しみました。

さて、通常授業のあとはBond University のキャンパスツアーです！

現役の大学生に案内をしてもらいながら、キャンパスを一通り歩いて回りました。あまずはとてもきれいで広大なキャンパスに一同唖然！また、e-sports Hubというeスポーツの練習場所が大学にあるということで、男子を中心に大きく盛り上がりました。

日本で見る大学とは違う魅力が見られ、中には「英語ができるようになれば海外大にいってみたいなぁ」という生徒もいました。これからに期待ですね！(⌒∇⌒)

ここに通うことを想像しただけで、胸が躍りますね！

キャンパスツアーの後は、近くの Robina Town Centre という大きなショッピングセンターに行き、ランチや買い物をしました。

フードコートでは、自由にフレーバーやトッピングをカスタマイズできるアイスクリーム屋さん、Yo Way Frozen Yogurt が人気で、その次にマクドナルドやケバブ屋さんが人気でした！

そのほかにもゴンチャ、DAISOなどいろいろなお店でショッピングを楽しむことができました！

本日の生徒の感想です。

Today, we had English class during the first period.

In the lesson, we explored the same points and differences between Hiroo Gakuen and Hillcrest College, and went on a school tour.

After that, we visited a university. It was so much bigger and more beautiful than the universities in Japan! 
There were so many amazing places, like a swimming pool and a gym.

Finally, we went to a shopping mall. I had some frozen yogurt with lots of fun toppings, and I bought some clothes and souvenirs at a variety shop.

It was a nice day!
I’m really looking forward to our presentation tomorrow!

Today I went to Bond University and Robina shopping centre after the first period.  Seeing Bond University was really interesting for me and was a valuable experience. I learned a lot of things about the university. In Bond University, the students can use the gym, pool, library, and computer for free. Also, the students can get tutoring once a week if they would like to, and the students can start a new business with support from the university for free. It is because I am interested in the business, I was very interested and I thought that it was a useful organization. Overall, I was able to learn how freely the students can learn in Bond University. After that, we went to Robina and had some lunch and a little bit of shopping. I was surprised by the price in Australia because all the prices were very high. The people were very friendly and I was able to buy some things by myself, so I was happy about that. Overall, today I had a great time at Bond University and Robina. (女子：Y. H.)

It was refreshing today!

I had an English lesson with my friends at Hillcrest Christian College. It was the second time, but I couldn’t hear and understand the teacher’s words very well. I am worried about my English…
Then, we went to Bond University. The landscape from there was so beautiful, the crafts were unique, and the facilities were fascinating. Thus, I couldn’t help but take a lot of photos there.
After that, we had lunch at a shopping mall near the university. The shopping mall was so massive that I was about to lose my way…

We are going to make a presentation tomorrow. I am nervous, but I hope that I will do my best.

みんな、英語が日に日に上手になってきていますね！アウトプットの成果です！

さて、明日はいよいよ待ちに待ったグループプレゼンです。
生徒たちは７つのグループに分かれ、日本の文化や行事などについて、ワークショップも交えながら現地の生徒たちに発表します。日本での練習の成果を発揮して、最高のプレゼンテーションをしましょう！

P.S. 私事ですが、訪問の記念に、Hillcrest Christian CollegeのUniform Shopで帽子を私費購入しました。生徒からは、「高校生に見える」「ここの生徒じゃない？」「ああいう子さっきいたよね」「幼い」などいつも通りの温かいコメントをたくさんいただきました。明日以降かぶっていくか、今でも迷い続けています。
